Local historian, photographer & tour guide, Paul Misko, is offering a talk that focuses on John Burroughs’ attempts to scale Slide Mountain in Woodland Valley. His talk will be enhanced by an audiovisual presentation and Burroughs’ journal comments. His presentation will show the equipment, food, and clothing used by Catskill hikers in the 1800's while sharing the many funny and disturbing anecdotes found in the writings of John Burroughs and others.
